Vertellus, a new contract hire company for commercial vehicles has launched, providing operators with sustainably fuelled vehicles supporting them with the transition towards carbon-zero goals.
The company has a portfolio of more than 3,500 vehicles for all industries including long haul, construction, and distribution vehicles from 2.7 to 44 tonnes.
The initiative provides a wraparound service starting with a consultancy to identify the precise needs of the customer and understand how their fleet operates. This enables them to receive the best-suited vehicle for their needs. The concept also offers driver training, finance, fleet monitoring, PCN administration, replacement vehicles, tyre management and telematics.
The launch took place at the British Motor Museum in Warwick where customers and the press were introduced to the concept by Quentin Wilson and invited to view the vehicles and learn about what Vertellus could offer them.
The trucks have been provided by Renault Trucks and offer rigid curtain siders, boxes, and refrigerated bodies. Charging has been supplied by Zenobe Limited, a leading provider of power storage, energy security and flexibility services.
Nigel Baxter, managing director of RHCV and Vertellus said, “This is a ground-breaking concept to support customers along the journey of achieving a seamless transition to sustainable fuels and offers them total peace of mind.
“The transition to carbon-zero fuels can be a long, daunting, and expensive process for fleet operators. Through Vertellus, we can work together with companies as they head towards achieving these carbon-zero goals. This way we can achieve a sustainable and healthier future.”
The Vertellus brand centres around its goals to provide green solutions to contract-hire needs. ‘Vert’ comes from the French term for green and ‘Tellus’ is derived from the Ancient Roman goddess of the Earth ‘Tellus’.
