Mitchells of Mansfield is a specialist pallet delivery company that provides overnight freight services across the UK and Europe.
The firm has been an RHCV customer for the past few years, using the firm’s Renault hire vehicles and aftercare services provided via the Alfreton dealership.
Recently, Mitchells decided to expand its fifty strong vehicle fleet with the purchase of four new twenty-six tonne T380 Renault trucks.
The move was designed to replace existing vehicles which were due to come to the end of their lease hire period, as well as enhance the existing stock to meet growing demand.
The third-generation family firm has over 50 years of experience in the logistics sector. Its drivers speak highly of the Renault product range.
Speaking about the company’s latest purchases, Richard Montgomery, Managing Director of Mitchells, explained: “You can buy a truck from anywhere.
“What we look for is a relationship and an understanding of what we need and how it operates, to make sure we are receiving a fit for purpose piece of equipment, backed up by a strong after sales service.
“We trust Mr. Paul Pearson and Mr Simon Bailey of RHCV. They have worked with us over the past five years to convert our entire fleet to the Renault product.
“A truck is only a useful tool if its running and working. We entrust our fleet maintenance to the repair and maintenance services that RHCV provides.
“We are fast approaching a new world, where diesel vehicles will be a past blight to the environment, and a heavy cost to the industry.
“We are in talks now with Mr. Paul Pearson, looking at how we work towards electrifying the fleet from this point.
“The future is exciting, and we look forward to working with RHCV moving forwards.”
