The Challenge…
As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Management Accountant and Finance Controller to support the smooth running of our finance function.
You will be responsible for:
Process Hourly Payroll: Manage payroll via SAGE 50 Payroll.
Fixed Assets: Maintain the asset register and manage depreciation.
Cashbook & Reconciliation: General ledger cashbook posting and bank reconciliation.
Financial Reporting: Assist with prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Warranty Claims: Reconcile warranty claims.
Expenses & Credit Cards: Oversee expense claims and company credit card management.
Purchase Ledger Support: Assist with complex accounts and supplier reconciliations.
Team Support: Provide holiday cover for sales and purchase ledger as needed.
Systems Implementation: Help implement new business systems and tech upgrades.
Ad Hoc Projects: Lead or support various finance projects as needed.
Be a key player in enhancing our finance operations and driving efficiencies across the team!
You’ll really hit the ground running if you have…
Previous experience in the commercial vehicles and vehicle rental industry
Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics GP
Part of fully AAT qualified
